In 2018 Pinterest announced that they have created Communities! And we thought, "What a perfect place for Blogging Buddies to grow and help other bloggers on Pinterest!"

Our Blogging Buddies Pinterest Community is for bloggers to share their pins, ask questions about pin styles or graphics. It's also one of the BEST places to promote your new blog content so that other members in the community can pin it too! This is an awesome, personal way we can support each other and our blogs.

Unlike sharing on Facebook or retweeting on Twitter, the life of a pin is very long lasting! This may be the BEST place to support your favorite bloggers, posts, and other members.

Pinning Rules Outside of the Pinning Party

Our Blogging Buddies Pinterest Community hours are FRIDAY-WEEKEND-MONDAY-TUESDAY. 24/7

(Wednesday and Thursday, which are considered Reserved Pinterest Party days. Please follow rules above)

Guide | What you are encouraged to do in our Pinterest Community:

  • Ask questions about Pinterest, pinning, your blog bio, Pin styling, Pin design, or any other Pinterest/Blogging related topic
  • Always pin your most recent posts to our Community so that we can repin it for you! (And read, comment, love and like it!)
  • Find other bloggers to follow, especially if you love their pins, content, or designs
  • Post an introduction to you and your blog occasionally, see if there are any new blog members that may want to follow you on Pinterest

Rules

(These are the requirements)

  1. Read and follow our Code of Conduct of Blog Buddy Program Membership, Discussions, Commenting & Communities
  2. Please take a look at our Commenting Policy, as some of this applies here too
  3. If you do not understand, follow, or read these terms you may be removed from the community or group board -- basically be NICE and PARTICIPATE with an open heart and mind
  4. You may post a new pins up to x3 an hour. We ask that if you pin more than 3 pins in a day, that you repin at least 3 pins a day. 1:1 ratio on multiple pins an hour or you will be considered a spammer.
  5. If you spam the board with multiple pins per hours, without repinning other pins from the community we will attempt to contact you before removing you from the community. Once you have made contact, read this guide and accept our terms, you can then be added back to our Community.

Introducing Pinterest Parties!

There are two parts to each Pinterest Party. Much like Pinterest, there is a social aspect, an artistic twist and an educational bit. By now you know that the Blog Buddy Program is all about networking, making blogging friends, and sharing resources.

See where we're going with this? You really do NEED to get involved in this with us!

The party lasts all day and much like Pinterest likes, you may be excited to know that your pins and involvement are much more long-lasting than sharing, commenting or liking on other social media accounts. Let's give you the details!

Part 1 || Share Pins & Repin Others!

On the day of the party, at any time, you can pin to our community! Others involved in the party will be encouraged to follow this same guide, and hopefully they will repin your content! This only works of course, if you ALSO pin other peoples content!

Guidelines

(Not requirements)

  1. Introduce yourself when you arrive at the community and get to know some of the other Party members
  2. Say hello to new attendees when they post their intro too -- Let's make everyone feel welcome here
  3. Pin something you feel that other bloggers will enjoy re-pinning to the community-- keep in mind that your audience at this party is other bloggers
  4. Repin at least 2-3 other pins from the Community and hit refresh for more pins and intros throughout the day

  4. You may post a new pin of your own about every hour, please no more than that as we want our feed to stay fresh for other bloggers joining the Party!
  5. If you spam the board with multiple pins per hours, we will attempt to contact you before removing you from the community. Once you have made contact, read this guide and accept our terms, you can then be added back to our Community

This is an all day event that may span into more activity on Pinterest for several days after the Party so feel free to check back often.

Part 2 | Grow and Join a Collaborative Board Together!

Each week our Blog Improvement Series has a new topic released on Monday. Whatever the topic is, we'll open a new related group board. Anyone who shows up for the Party on Wednesday can message us to be added to the group board. Together we all search for the best content and pins to save to that board collection!

This exercise is unlike Part 1 because you are not pinning these to the community, but to the new group board! Pins can be your own, but this is mostly an exercise of manually pinning other's content. Finding the best resources, the highest quality pins and education can be found with a little digging through Pinterest.

This is a SUPER great way to further your blogging education. As you add pins that you find on this weeks topic, others are doing the same thing! This Group Board will grow rapidly. Collecting the BEST content on Pinterest about the topic!

Steps To Be Added To Our Group Board

  1. Follow our Pinterest account
  2. Send us a message that you want to join the Weekly Topic's Group Board (Messages us on Pinterest, Twitter or by email.
    • But the BEST way is just to hop on our Blogging Buddies Discord Chat -- and we can get you on the Group Board REALLY quickly. Other communication may not be as instant, and requires us to manually check for you request to join the Pin Com.
  3. You can also just drop your Introduction in the community and mention it there -- an admin will then send you an invite to the Group Board

Guidelines

(Not requirements)

  1. Introduce yourself when you arrive at the community and get to know some of the other Party members
  2. Search for quality pins -- with great CONTENT from the pin link!
  3. Not all pretty pins have good content articles behind them. Be sure to QUALIFY useful articles before pinning!
  4. Stay ON TOPIC IN THE GROUP BOARD -- DO NOT post pins unrelated to the Group Board or you will be removed from it (not our community, but the board)
  5. Add as many high quality pins as you can, all day long. No limitations!

Rules

(These are the requirements)

  1. Read and follow our Code of Conduct of Blog Buddy Program Membership, Discussions, Commenting & Communities
  2. Please take a look at our Commenting Policy, as some of this applies here too
  3. High Quality CONTENT -- not just pretty pins
  4. Stay on topic or you will be removed from the Group Board
  5. After the Party our Creative Team will "Clean the Board" for us, so that if you choose to remain in it forever, you know it's a quality board of pins that are on-topic!
  6. Post off-topic pins directly to the COMMUNITY NOT the Group Board!

This is an all-day event that may span into more activity on Pinterest for several days after the Party so feel free to check back often.
